Excellent- we hope to be back.

The reception by Jorge was excellent - extremely pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing. Some have said decor is dated - we say charming - beautiful marble and traditional azulios, that is never dated. Room on the small side, but comfortable with good view. The location is ideal for walking to the town centre Terrific value for money

Fabulous hotel, friendly, superb location & views, great breakfast, a must visit!

All the staff were very friendly & always available for questions if needed, particular thanks to Jorge and his welcome to us and happy persona throughout our stay. Cleaners in the rooms every day, plus a great choice at breakfast (which is included in the price) and the breakfast room overlooks the outdoor pool & beyond to the sea & town. Therefore it as a great location for an easy, short walk to the marina or into the old town. The location was perfect for us out of town with stunning views! An all round super hotel that we’d highly recommend.

We liked everything about the property however some may comment it is a bit dated, however we prefer the more traditional type of hotels and this one as been there since 1962.

You get what you pay for. Not bad, not great.

I think it's quite good value for money. You get what you pay for. The room was quite clean, the sheets were clean and smelled clean, we had clean towels changed every day, coffee cups washed and coffee pods for the machine in the room replaced. There were water bottles in room, coffee machine, TV, clean towels, hairdryer, etc. We booked with breakfast included which wasn't bad at all with quite a good variety of food. There was a sauna available (small, but good enough for about 5-6 people to sit in comfortably), a little gym... not bad. The rooms with sea view are definitely recommended! Very good view. The hotel is situated close to the center and the Marina, so very good location. It has an underground parking just across the street with plenty of spaces. (sometimes the light didn't work so had to use the flashlight to get out) Lidl and Aldi close-by ... within a 5 mins drive. Yes, there were some downsides as well, but that's for the next section.

The general state of the hotel is a bit outdated and tired. Probably just part of a chain or a greedy owner using it without making investments until it collapses. In business you normally invest to gain profit but... well. It didn't bother me that the paint is old on doors, or the wall in the bathroom had a huge crack or stuff like that, but it wasn't very pleasant to see quite a lot of crumbs on the floor in the restaurant close to the walls (negligent cleaning), on the roof you could see spider webs.. and I've also noticed a dead cockroach on the floor in the restaurant when one of the ladies from the kitchen tried to point it out to one of the waiters. I've worked in kitchens before and I know they do come round even if you have a very good cleaning procedure in place. Under the mattress there was some sort of thin mattress which was quite dirty and you could see crumbs there... The lift was broken down so a plus for exercising All in one, not too bad, depends what you pay for it and how high your expectations are. We just wanted something well positioned, a good clean bed, somewhere to have a shower and a nice included in price breakfast and we've had them. With all the downsides, it was still a good enough stay.

Excellent sea views from our room with very comfortable bed and movie channels on TV, friendly reception staff, hotel just a 10 minute walk from Albufeira old town (with some hills), the breakfast was great too. Quiet in November and the pool was cold. Would return April-October.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location to old town was good with great views from the balcony.. We were also upgraded rooms. Breakfast was really good with a huge selection and choice of hot and cold food and champagne

Rustic decor, a little outdated for some, maybe. There was nobody manning the bar during the day or night when we went for a drink by the pool or inside, had a look around, and shouted a couple of times, but nobody came.

Was ok however wouldn’t rush to stay again

Hotel location was good, 10 minutes walk to old town and 10 minute walk to the beach. Our room was very spacious. Most staff were pleasant.

Room is a bit outdated (aircon and blinds). Every morning there was a hammer sound that woke us up. We informed reception of this and they said sorry and didn’t offer us anything. The banging lasted for 5 days and woke us up at 7am everyday. One morning there was a water cut from the whole street, this was an inconvenient as we couldn’t shower before we went out. Some staff were not very polite. The pool also was quite dirty and needed to be clean more often, there was many dead bugs in the pool after day 2.

With the problem with the sewerage, they had us changed out of that room the following morning as soon as a room came available. The cleaning staff were excellent.. the reception staff were excellent.. location is ok short walk down hill to old town but all uphill on the way back..

Well, in the first ten minutes in the room, we used the bathroom and sewerage flooded the bathroom up through the floor.. they say breakfast is served till 11 but if you go for breakfast at 10:30 there is next to nothing left and all food heaters are turned off no cups ,no plates and most tables already set for lunch.should be able use the back gate at night to get back in instead of having to walk all around to the very top of the hill..

One of the features of this hotel is its location, situated near the city and the beach. We had the pleasure of interacting with Jorge during our recent visit, and I can't speak highly enough of the excellent service we received. From the moment we walked in, he greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile and he was really helpful during the whole stay. It's clear that he truly cares about the experience of each guest, and it made a world of difference in our overall experience.

The staff were exceptional. We got married in Albufeira and they helped us get the dress dry cleaned last minute, they left champagne in our room on our second night and decorated the bed in a love heart and petals. They also upgraded us to the suite on the wedding night. They were extremely kind and generous. The breakfast was really good too.it was really clean. The pool was really really nice

The mattresses aren't great. My husbands back was sore as a result. As a whole the hotel was quite dated, furniture etc had seen better days. If the mattresses were to be changed I'd stay again. There weren't many plugs either by bedside but that's manageable. There was no full length mirror.

The pool with the view is a really nice touch, 1.3m deep. Also the breakfast was pretty plentiful. Jorge at the front desk was extremely helpful in recommendations, which we gladly used. Also the housekeeping team went beyond their standards, as we could check in earlier.

Some may find the taste of coffee from the machines... strange? The hotel magazine on the room was from October 2011. I am not sure, how relevant the recommendations and discount vouchers there might be...

wonderful establishment, left a bitter taste

Great location and seaview, the pool, personnel (especially George and the breakfast room personnel), large suite with big terrace (Marrakech suite), the garage, proximity to beach and town centre

Many equipment not working (lift, jacuzzi), one side of the double bed was so noisy it would wake us up at every turn, no options to block sunlight from entering the room early morning, charging 2.5€/day to use the safe in the room, some pieces of furniture falling to pieces. Quite a long list given the room fare
